Six training areas. One framework.

MECC delivers compliance training across six domains. Each is built with clinical subject-matter expertise, produces measurable evidence, and is packaged for the LMS your institution already runs.

Social Accountability & IDEAA

Inclusion, diversity, equity, accessibility, and anti-racism — framed not as awareness topics but as institutional obligations with regulatory grounding. Modules move from policy language to clinical decision-making, producing measurable evidence of capability.

Aligned with AODA, OHRC policy directives, and Accreditation Canada standards. Each scenario authored with a named clinical SME and adapted to four role pathways.

Accessibility

An 18-course series covering the full scope of accessibility obligation in clinical and administrative settings. From the admitting conversation to discharge planning, every course is mapped to AODA, Accreditation Canada Qmentum standards, and CNO continuing-competence requirements.

Courses cover consent and accommodation, communication access across cognitive, sensory, motor, and psychosocial disability, and the institutional evidence architecture that makes compliance demonstrable to a surveyor.

SOGIE Across the Lifespan

Sexual orientation, gender identity, and gender expression — from paediatric to geriatric care. Built to meet OHRC requirements and institutional human-rights policy obligations. Scenarios span intake, charting, family-presence protocols, and end-of-life care.

Includes a companion ERG toolkit — structured resources for institutional employee resource groups to operationalize 2SLGBTQ+ inclusion beyond the training room: meeting frameworks, policy-audit checklists, and community-engagement templates.

Equity, Anti-Black Racism & Cultural Humility

Structural competency, anti-Black racism in clinical decision-making, and cultural humility as a practiced discipline — not a single workshop. Scenarios ground equity in the decisions clinicians make on shift: triage, pain assessment, diagnostic framing, referral patterns.

Aligned with provincial equity frameworks and the growing body of Canadian evidence on race-based disparities in healthcare outcomes. Content is evidence-led and co-developed with community advisors.

Trauma-Informed Care & Psychological Safety

Trauma-informed approaches to clinical care and institutional culture. Covers patient-facing interactions — screening, disclosure, de-escalation — alongside team psychological safety and the organizational conditions that sustain both.

Designed for institutions where trauma-informed care is a stated commitment but not yet a measurable capability. Scenarios address the gap between policy language and the clinician's next decision.

Indigenous Cultural Safety

Cultural safety grounded in the Truth and Reconciliation Commission Calls to Action (23 and 24), UNDRIP, and the specific obligations of Canadian healthcare institutions. Developed in partnership with Indigenous advisors and communities — not authored about Indigenous peoples, but with them.

After ten years, none of the seven health-related TRC Calls to Action have been fully implemented. Only 44% of Canadian nursing schools offer mandatory Indigenous health courses. This training area exists because the gap is still open.
